The St. Elmo Foundation
Supporting the Literary, Scientific and Charitable Activities of America's Oldest Continuous College Fraternity
Mission and Purpose
The St. Elmo Foundation is a charitable and educational tax-exempt organization, separate and independent from the Fraternity, whose express purpose is to aid, encourage, promote and contribute to the learning, education and welfare of student and graduate members of the Delta Phi Fraternity.
The St. Elmo Foundation is generously supported by dedicated alumni members from around the country and around the world who donate their time and resources. Each year through the St. Elmo Foundation, they provide a number of awards and grants intended to recognize and promote achievement in three areas:
Leadership
To develop young men into character based leaders who are effectively prepared and purposefully committed to the betterment of their campus, their community, and the world at large.
Brotherhood
To develop undergraduate members into men possessing the highest ideals of Brotherhood: character, integrity, morality, compassion, and civic responsibility.
Scholarship
To support young men of academic distinction and to encourage the pursuit of intellectual achievement and a greater understanding of the world in which we live.
